While one could read into this, the fact is that I wrote this driving home from the store on a Monday afternoon and wondering: did I really drink the coffee that morning I brewed on Saturday?

Woke up Monday morning
With fog hanging low on the hills
An October sun was shining
And the air had a slight chill
My leaf is turning over
My motto has a fresh aroma
And it tastes bittersweet
The way change should be
I'm starting over today
But the coffee was brewed Saturday
And I drink it anyway
It more or less tastes the same
My leaf is turning over
But my motto has a stale aroma
And nothing has really changed
It's the same coffee from Saturday
