Welcome. This way please.

No crowding, shoving,

Pushing or crying.

The heart of the works

Is to the right,

And the brain behind

The matters in mind

Is up three flights.

You have an invitation?

No? It's no consolation

Everyone is welcome here.

They've come from many lands,

Where eagles dare and

Maidens are rare,

To lands of lore and

Times we deplore.

They are all welcome here.

But there are times it's hard

To decide who's in charge

And I feel a strange way

Each new day.

If you had brought

A little more besides thought

It might ease the burden

Of deciding who to listen to

When you argue and fight.

What? You want to leave?

I'm afraid you can't.

There is no door out,

I've already looked all about

And we are stuck here,

All together, like it or not.

For those who know God,

Please tell him hi,

Because he seems to miss

My goodnight kiss

I send Him when I pray.

And isn't is strange

That none of you know

Just why I feel alone

And waiting to hear

For something you've said

Because you talk too loud

When I sleep,

But never console me

When I weep.

Maybe its time

To say our goodbyes,

Because first chance I get

I'm hitting the deck

And finding out for myself

What its like to leave the world

Of a mortal incarceration

By learning from this revelation

That I'm a host

To a cosmic invitation

Of a party of spirits

That have infected my soul.
